Preparing for Sports Camp:


Sports camp can be physically and mentally demanding, which is amazing for children and young people’s developmental needs, but please ensure children have had a drink and something to eat before they arrive. If this has not been possible, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we will see if we can provide something. Please contact us if your child has an injury, is ill or you have any other concerns about them joining the session.

What each child will need to bring:

A refillable water bottle
Packed Lunch
Breaktime snack
Suncream
Cap
Sunglasses
Wet and/or spare Clothes.
Appropriate clothing – A t-shirt, shorts with the option for a jumper and jogging bottoms is usually sufficient. Please avoid clothes that you do not want damaged or dirty. Jeans, shirts, or dresses with buttons are not appropriate.
Inhalers or medication (if necessary).
Appropriate footwear – Trainers or Pumps are fine. Please do not bring shoes, crocs or flip flops / sliders. For football courses, please bring football boots and shin pads.
Please avoid bringing the following:

Jewellery
Chewing gum
Ipads or Gaming devices
Mobile phones (unless left with the supervisor). These will be put away safely until the end of the day.
Anything that may be inappropriate or dangerous for children.

Our Multi-Sports approach is a research based approach to giving children a positive introduction to a variety of sports and developing their athletic skills. It involves a variety of age and ability related sports and fun games, which creates a positive motivational climate for children to build a passion for sport. To list a few: Football, Archery, Netball, Basketball, Hockey, adapted games and more.

Refunds

Refunds are given at our own discretion, so if you would like a refund for any reason, please communicate this thoroughly and we can assess fairly if a refund is appropriate. Please bare in mind we have a 48-hour cancellation policy, and if you cancel your booking during that time, or do not attend the session we will not be able to accommodate a refund.


Concerns, Complaints and Compliments

If you have any concerns or compliments that you would like to report about our camp, please direct this immediately to our supervisor on site. If you would like to escalate this to make a formal complaint, then please report this to our Operations Director, who will follow our company policy: Ellis Hemingway; 07591517371

COVID-19


Energ!se are frequently updating our policies and procedures in line with government guidance on COVID-19. We will also be following our COVID19 Policy, and Risk Assessment to keep our team and community as safe as possible.

Children will be placed into group bubbles during the summer holidays, in line with current guidance. We will also implement appropriate social distancing measures where possible, clear rules around cleaning and hygiene. On most sites we will request that parents do not enter the indoor setting to minimise any additional risk, unless completely necessary. We also politely ask that parents use social distancing when dropping off and collecting children and where face masks wherever possible and reasonable to do so.

Need to change your booking?

We aim to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of parents and children on our courses, however, please inform us with plenty of notice if you would like to make changes to your bookings. We will always try to accommodate additional bookings if we have space to do this.

Arrivals and Collection (include walking home)

If your child attends morning club, you may attend any time from opening. Please beware that we cannot allow you to leave your child/ren with us until the opening time stated.

Registration runs from 9:45am-10:05am, so please aim to attend early. There is often a short queue at the beginning of the holidays as we check everybody’s registration details are complete.

Ensuring that we collect Registration information accurately is an important part of our safeguarding children policy, so please be patient with our staff. The supervisor will need to check your booking, ensure we have a consent/registration form for your child and any other information after checking your booking information
Collection is from 2:55pm – 3:10pm, Please avoid attending earlier than that as we will not open to parents until this time. If you do need to collect children early, please contact us to arrange this.

If you’re child usually walks to or from school, please contact us to discuss this. Please understand that in many cases we cannot agree to this as a part of our commitment to keeping children safe.

If your child attends our after club, you are able to pick them any time until the closing time at this venue.

We encourage parents to follow government guidance on COVID-19 safety precautions such as using face masks and sanitiser when collecting children. In most circumstances we will expect parents to wait outside of the venue to collect their child.


Additional Needs

If you’re child has additional needs, please inform us at the earliest point possible and provide as much information possible for us to be able to support them to enjoy a safe and positive experience. This can be added to your consent form but we can also accept additional attachments. If you’re child needs 1-1 support, we are unlikely to accommodate this and will be happy to help you find an alternative option.

Medical Information

Please ensure that we have any medical information regarding your child, including any medication that they are currently taking and if you need them to take that whilst with us.

Please give specific and detailed information including signs and symptoms, severity and likeliness of the medical issue impacting your child during sports activity and any suggested instructions for the coach, and do not hesitate to provide any additionally attached information for the supervisor.

If you do need us to administer any medication then we will need you to complete a form for this, and you will need to discuss this with the supervisor at the venue.

Allergies

If your child has an allergy, please provide as much information as possible on the booking form. Please give specific and detailed information including signs and symptoms, severity and likeliness of an allergic reaction impacting your child during sports activity and any suggested instructions for the coach, and do not hesitate to provide any additionally attached information for the supervisor.

Who can I contact in an emergency or regarding my booking?

The supervisor at each camp should have a display ready, with their contact details in case of emergency. If you cannot get hold of the supervisor, please contact us by email on admin@energiseonline.com or for more urgent issues contact our Operations Director, Ellis Hemingway on 07591517371.
